At the east edge of the Crossover Valley is an area of unstable geology called the Shifting Hills. At random times, a hummock might turn itself into a ravine, or a stream might reroute itself. You don’t want to be out wandering in those hills when a reconfiguration takes place, and you don’t know when that might happen. But off at the west end is Tiffy’s peak, the one stable section of the Hills. And why is it called Tiffy’s Peak? There’s a story about that in the Dream Ranger series.
